Gibsons Beach Reserve, Watsons Bay Wedding

Lara + Mike chose a little spot of Sydney for their wedding that is almost a secret beach: Gibsons Beach Reserve. I was so excited to be part of Lara & Mike's wedding. Capturing both their 40th birthday celebrations, as well as their engagement, I feel like a part of their family and friends! It's nice to see familiar faces who have been with them through their milestones.

Their wedding ceremony was right on the beach with the view of the Sydney skyline in the background while sailing boats dotted the ocean. "It was just perfect and just as we had imagined it!" beamed Lara. Lara and Mike couldn't wipe the smiles off their face - their joy and happiness evident in every single photograph! Just the way that Lara & Mike describe themselves as a couple: "fun, in love and happy!"

After their Gibsons Beach Reserve wedding ceremony, we walked along the shores for their couple and bridal entourage portraits. Dunbar House, their wedding venue located in Sydney's eastern suburbs of Watsons Bay, was just a few steps away. "Dunbar House was initially recommended by Mike's mum, Christine. We fell in love with it from first sight for its beautiful location, very English and had amazing people to help. Not even mentioning the chef and quality of the food."

It's always interesting to know what the couples remember most about their wedding day. "Us being happy and over the moon, touchy moments, beautiful people around us, gorgeous venue, wonderful music and love in the air!"

As for their advice to couples who are about to get married? "Stay calm, enjoy every minute of the day and make sure Florent is there to capture your happy moments!"
